ESPN and Elastic teamed up to do a show package for the 2020 College Football season highlighting the various components that makeup the sport. We were right in the middle of production when Covid-19 hit. Luckily for a lot of Freelance Motion Artist, the transition wasn't too bad. ESPN was amazing at helping us adjust our delivery schedule as well as reassessing what was achievable given the sudden changes.
Most of my time was spent on animation but I was extremely excited to help out with some concept designs as well. Mainly exploring the human-towers (Castells) in Spain and the relationship between the community, team, and the sport. Some of these frames didn't make it into the montage but it was still fun to explore the various elements and textures in football from a macro and micro level.
